Hip Hop International Has Some Serious Life n SoulAugust 18, 2014
The Life n Soul team was lucky enough to spend another year with Hip Hop International out in Las Vegas last week. We hate to brag, but we had the best week ever!
If you weren’t able to join in on the fun there’s no need to worry because we have a front row seat for you right here.
Hip Hop International saw a total of 275 crews and over 6,000 in attendance. The events started early for the HHI dancers. On August 2, orientation took place at the Red Rock Ballroom and the place was alive!

World Hip Hop Dance Championship Final
Once the finalist were announced from the USA Hip Hop Dance Championship, they joined the other nation’s finalists to compete and make it to the World Hip Hop Dance Championship Finals. The passion filled the Red Rock Ballroom and we saw some moves that we’ve taken home with us to practice!
While every dance crew was impressive, there could only be one named champion in each division. Lets take a look at those who made it to the end and are returning home with the gold!
The first winner of the finals was Fresh 2.0 in the Junior Division from Canada.
From Japan, the Varsity Gold Medal was awarded to dance crew J.B. Star Varsity.
Canada took home two wins this year when we saw Brotherhood achieve the gold medal in the Adult division.
To conclude the weeklong dance off, Hip Hop International closed out with the MegaCrew Division. Let us introduce the A-Team from the Philippines.
You guys rock!
Aside from the amazing competitions we witnessed, Hip Hop International sponsored some workshops that included an appearance from Parris Goebel Skulls & Crowns and world breaking, locking, popping and all styles dance battles. There was never a dull moment and in this case we’re not keeping what we saw in Vegas!
We’d like to send a big thank you to Hip Hop International for letting join in and jam out with some of the hottest dance crews in the world. We tip our hats to all those that participated in this year's event.
